Makiling Mudspring GPS Track

by iano16 on Dec.11, 2010, under GPS TRack, Mountainbiking, Mountaineering

Hey! It’s been a while that I haven’t updated my blog and I’m sorry for that. Got too busy at work and always traveling in and out of the country since August for a very important project with the company I’m working with.
Though, with those frequent travel, I was able to squeeze some time for some mountainbiking activities, but, I haven’t put it here… Not much free time for my blogging, though.
Anyway, I tried getting a GPS track using my cellphone, a Blackberry Storm2, on my last Mt. Makiling ride last November 7th.
I uploaded it here if in case you need a gps track or direction to go there.

To download the gps track: right click this (in kml format) and save.
To view the google map in a new window with geotagged photos: click here

Mt. Pico de Loro Climb

by iano16 on Mar.17, 2004, under Mountaineering

Pico de Loro, located at Ternate, Cavite is considered the highest mountain in the province, though it stands only at a mere 664 meters. At this elevation it is a level 1 climb, but, climbing this mountain is not an easy task, either. First, you’ll have to absorb the scorching summer heat and then, the ultra-challenging ascent/assault of its peak. The view at the top is spectacular. You’ll have the 360 degrees view of the province plus the sea.

Conquering Mount Banahaw of Quezon Province

by iano16 on Feb.07, 2004, under Mountaineering

Its not our first climb to Mt. Banahaw but we’re still enthusiastic conquering it again. This dormant volcano towering at 2158 meters above sea level (ASL) is very special to us. It is even considered sacred to some religious cult risiding in the foot of Banahaw.
